Brevis Corporation was conceived and created by J. Gordon Short, MD, a board-certified pathologist. The company was incorporated in 1978 with its first product being a pathology workstation for gross examination of surgical specimens. Also, the company designed and produced Isolation Signs and Labels for use in health-care facilities. Since then, Brevis has continued to develop products for infection control needs and laboratory use. Recently, our product line emphasizes handwashing training, education and motivation products and includes the Glitterbug fluorescent teaching systems. Currently Brevis is working to expand and improve its line of pathology workstations and devices. Also, Brevis is preparing to launch a line of touchless, affordable handwash stations designed to accomodate and to monitor for adequate washings which takes an engineering approach to proper handwashing technique compliance.
